Winifred Kelly Miller passed away on Friday, August 11, 2023.

The sun rose on Winifred Kelly Miller on January 18th, 1937, in Roatan, Honduras to the late Olive Miller and James Laurence Kelly. She migrated to the city of La Ceiba, Atlantida in Honduras, where she raised her children: Alfred Kelly, Robert Kelly, Judy Kelly, Junior Kelly, Norda Kelly, Edna Johnson Kelly, Martha Kelly, Lliny Kelly, Alvin Kelly, and Carmen Kelly.

Winifred was an entrepreneur, a woman who wore many hats in her lifetime. She was known for making the sweetest coconut bread and the best peppermints, and she eventually turned that love for community and food into a successful family business: La Caseta. In 1987, she migrated to Boston, Massachusetts, and was heavily determined to bring her children and grandchildren to America for better lives, which she accomplished by 1996.

Winifred (Mama) leaves behind leaves behind her beloved sisters: Josephine Gordon, Rosita Miller, Evelyn Dilbert, Elbia Kelly, Marlene Kelly, Darlene Kelly, Silvia Kelly, Judith, and Adelina Kelly. Her 32 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren, whom she was more than blessed to have met. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and cherished friends.

Visitation will be held at the Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Avenue, EAST MILTON SQUARE, on Saturday, August 19th from 10:30-11:30AM. The Funeral Service will begin at 11:30AM. Interment at Oak Lawn Cemetery.
