Mendes, Walter of Allston formerly of Dorchester died on November 16, 2021. He was 74 years old.

Son of the late Henry and Lena Mendes. Beloved father of the late Lisa Marie Mendes. Devoted brother of Ronald Mendes, Richard Mendes, Raymond Mendes, Lawrence Mendes, Paul Mendes, James Mendes, Vance Mendes, Nancy Jenkins, Lorraine Mendes-Pires, Henry Mendes, Roy Mendes, Anthony Mendes, Harold Mendes and Evon Mendes. Walter is also lovingly survived by many nieces and nephews.

Walter was born and raised in Dorchester. He worked in the construction business for many years before retiring. Walter was a handyman who could fix anything that needed fixing. He enjoyed trips to the casino, playing poker and painting houses. Walter was an avid Red Sox fan. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure to have known him.
