Obituary for Thomas LaCroix

Thomas “Tom” F. LaCroix, 82, of West Springfield, MA passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday, February 8, 2023. He was the loving husband of Janet LaCroix (Cremonti) whom he shared 60 years of marriage with. Tom was born on March 11, 1940 to the late Evelyn LaCroix (Cormier) and was later adopted by his step father Arthur LaCroix. He grew up in the Pine Point area of Springfield and later settled in West Springfield where he resided for 48 years. Tom was a welder by trade and was the owner of Cook Street Auto Body in West Springfield for over 30 years. Motorcycles were Tom’s passion and he raced motor cross for many years along with owning multiple road bikes. He owned horses and enjoyed horseback riding with his daughter. He also enjoyed playing golf and was an avid poker player. In addition to his wife Janet, Tom is survived by his daughter Cheryl Signet and husband Dave of West Springfield and his true pride and joy his grandchildren, Tyler and Ella Signet. Tom was a beloved fixture at all their school and sporting events through the years and was always their biggest fan. He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews and cousins. No services are planned.

    Janet, so very sorry for your loss.. Tommy always brought a certain comfort and charm that made everyone feel relaxed at the poker table. My days playing with Tommy in the early two thousands were some of my fondest. He will be sorely missed. Paul Ferrazza
