Obituary for Sylvester Kindell

Sylvester Kindell, known as Va, entered this world on December 4, 1953, in Orange County, Florida, to the late Izora and L.C. Kindell. He was the second child among ten siblings.

During his early years, the family relocated from Florida to Boston, Massachusetts, where Sylvester began his academic journey within the Boston Public School System. Following his high school graduation, Sylvester embarked on a career with Business Interior, where he serves as a skilled mover for numerous years. Travelling across various cities as part of his job, he found joy in transporting furniture and discovered a deep appreciation for collecting antique pieces beyond just packing and moving boxes. This was one of his joys—helping people move, whether in-state or across state lines. In his spare time, Sylvester loved to draw and was an amazing artist. He took pleasure in being the life of the party, effortlessly captivating any gathering with his lively energy. When a catchy tune played, he would joyfully dance the night away, often assuming the role of the cheerful entertainer. He was the person that others could turn to for honesty, as he was 100% authentic and true to himself.

In his passing, Sylvester Kindell is preceded in death by his parents, Izora and L.C. Kindell, as well as his brothers Curtis Kindell and Lee Cecil Kindell and his nephews Jamayne Jones. He leaves behind a cherished legacy, carried on by his loving son, Demetrias Kindell , along with his sisters Sharon Kindell, Cynthia Kindell, Queenette Santos (Daniel), Tracie Porch (Raymond), and his brothers Johnnie Kindell (Roberta), Bernard Kindell (Deborah), and Tyrone Kindelle (Renee), all of Boston, and Janice Johnson (Bronx, NY). He is also survived by his uncle M.C. Reeves (Marietta) of Opelika, Alabama, and aunts, Mary Jean Hicks-Hall of Brockton, Massachusetts, and Velma Jefferson (Lonnie) of Winter Garden, Florida, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will cherish his memory dearly.

Visitation will be held at the Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington Street, DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS on Friday, March 8th from 10-11:00AM. Funeral Service to begin at 11AM. Interment at Oak Lawn Cemetery. Relatives and friends invited.

May you rest in peace Sylvester. You always made me laugh and put a smile on my face, every time we came in contact with each other at our monthly ATM meet ups. You were so real and always were the same when I came around you. You will be truly missed and may you rest in peace.
