Sending my sincere condolences to the Plefka Family. I worked with Stephen for years in Canton usually trying to help him get some issue or reporting correct for a client. I was always struck by how patient he was and how he wanted to make sure everything was correct. I will miss him.

I am so very sorry to hear about Steve's passing. I worked with him for several years at EquiServe. We had a couple of projects that we worked on together and his wit and humor made them enjoyable. He was just a lovely man and the world is a little less bright without him. Again, my condolences to the family.

I am so very sorry to learn of Steve's sudden passing. He was such a lovely human being - hardworking, smart, knowledgeable, conscientious, kind and unexpectedly funny. We worked together for many years at EquiServe and later Computershare. My condolences to his family and friends. He was such a genuinely good person and will be greatly missed.

I am so sorry. I hadn't seen him 7 years since retiring. At one point in our lives we were good friends. I pushed him into a double date with my friend Diana. They were both pretty shy so the relationship didn't go anywhere. He will be missed ❤️

There are no words to appropriately express how sorry I am to hear of Steve's passing. His kindness and decency were perfectly balanced by his very quick wit and sardonic humor. He had an incredible gift for making people feel at ease in his presence. The world is a lot less bright without Steve in it. My deepest sympathies to his family and to the many people who had the great fortune of knowing and loving Steve.

I'm so sorry to hear of Steve's sudden passing. It was a pleasure working with him. He was the RM for one of our shared clients. Although we only ever communicated via phone and email, I felt like I knew him well. He was a kind, upbeat guy and one of the more knowledgeable RMs I've worked with. Being a musician myself, it's cool to find out he played as well. RIP, my friend.

Dear Plefka family, Steve was a friend of mine. One Sunday Steve and l along with another friend went to the Marsh Chapel at Boston University to hear the service and the chior. Back and forth in the car we all had a fue laughs. Steve was a very funny person and had an interesting perspective on things. I would keep him updated on things in my life and he was a good listener. Often l would see him in Stop & Shop on Sunday evenings. We had a shared love of frozen french fries. He had the best personality and was a very uniquely good person. I will miss him. I'm sorry for your loss. You are in my prayers. Mary Dewey

As a co-worker on the west coast, I didn't have any interaction with Steve until my client acquired his client. As we worked through steps of the transaction, it became very clear how knowledgeable he was, but more importantly, how kind he was. Occasionally I would reach out to him to tap into his knowledge, and he was always gracious enough to offer his help. Based in my limited interactions with him, it was evident he was a man of high character and integrity. I was deeply saddened to learn of his passing, a true loss for his family, friends and co-workers. My condolences to everyone impacted by this loss. - Tom Cooper, Computershare
