Obituary for Simone Robergeau

Simone (Bastien) Robergeau, age 87 of Londonderry, NH and formerly of Dorchester, MA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 4, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Simone was the last of 14 children of the late Louis Parneo Bastien and Dorothee (Isaure Pilie) Bastien. Simone was the beloved wife of the late Rene Robergeau. Devoted mother of Marlene Cantave and her husband Frantz Cantave, Chantal Charles, Roland Robergeau all of Londonderry, NH and Rolande Denis of Nashua, NH. Grandmother of Gregory Cantave, Michelle Cantave, Rachel Charles, Steven Charles, Olga Charles, Tracy Robergeau, Dianna Robergeau, Cassie Robergeau, Arnold Denis, Jasmine Denis and Noah Denis. Great-grandmother of Kendrick Charles, Aleah Charles, Mila Cantave, Emery Cantave, Juels Denis, Amari Denis, and Zayden Denis. She is also survived by her sisters Laura Belancourt of New York and Claire Pasquis of Canada.

Simone’s beloved soul graced this world with her warmth and kindness. Her heart overflowed with love for her family and friends as she cherished the bonds she shared with her loved ones, creating countless memories at laughter-filled holiday family gatherings. Her optimism and resilience were unwavering, even during challenging times. She found happiness in simple pleasures—a well prepared meal, a warm sunny day, and the company of those she held dear.

Simone's legacy lives on now through her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her love and laughter echoed in the hearts of all who knew her. As we bid farewell to this remarkable woman, let us remember her with smiles and gratitude, for she taught us that life's true richness lies in the connections we forge and the love we share.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 10th at the Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Avenue, EAST MILTON SQUARE at 12:00 pm. Interment in Oak Lawn Cemetery, ROSLINDALE. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 10th at the Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Ave., EAST MILTON SQUARE from 11:00 – 12:00 pm prior to the service.

    Rachel Charles

    From her granddaughter Rachel. I asked her to speak Creole with me to help me stay fluent. Whenever we'd call each other we would joke and laugh in creole and poke a little fun of my accent. She would correct my words and express how proud she was of me. Sometimes we'd laugh until we tear up even in person. I hold those times dear in my heart! ❤️
