Shirley was a person with little to say but a lot said at the same time. If goal accomplishment was a person it was her. To name a few: Living and walking without assistance she graduated from Westie High class of 1995, worked as Councilor at Vinfen for over 10yrs. Attended Suffolk University, Roxbury Community walking across the stage to accept 2 associates degrees in Art and Science. She was finally got employed at Brigham’s as a lab tech, and within several dedicated years was promoted to Lab Coordinator. To say that Shirley LOVED working at Brigham and Woman’s Hospital would be an understatement. The status, pride and joy felt going from lab technician and advancing all the way up to being a Lab coordinator was her biggest career achievement and was very proud to state that fact. All of this with done with a passport(s) befitting a true jetsetters dream. I remember us chatting up frustrations of working either with or without coworkers and after all the laughs she smiled and said “ but I still love the smooth ups and frustrating downs because not too many people in my position have the choice”. Shirley always understood her limitations but I believe that made her the strong magnet of attraction that she was across all boards, she made her presence known and always left and impressive impression. We are so proud of her. To say she is loved and missed is a fraction of the entire weight of loss we feel. Shirley is survived by her parents Francois and Jeannette, brothers Eves, Joseph and Pearson, and sister France; a plethora of Cousins, Besties, she’s 2nd mother to sons and daughters, friends from close and far so many to mention individually. To say she will be deeply missed is an understatement. A Prayer Service will be held Tuesday, March 28, 2023, in the Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington Street, DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS, at 10 o'clock. Visitation Tuesday 9:30 - 10 am. Interment Oak Lawn Cemetery.
