Shirley F. Washington received her heavenly wings on July 8, 2022.

Shirley F. Washington was born in Spindale, North Carolina on May 6, 1935. Shirley was born to Mother Cleo Carson Whiteside and Father Augustus C. Whiteside. Shirley resided in Boston where she raised her 4 children with her beloved late husband Frederick D. Washington. She later retired from Harvard University after many years as a supervisor in the mailroom.

Shirley leaves behind to cherish her memories her children: Cleo Phillips, Stewart Washington, Cecelia Webbe, & Torleah Washington. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and a loving host of great-grandchildren, extended family and many friends.

Visitation will be held at the Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington Street, DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS on Friday, July 22nd from 10-11AM. Funeral Service to begin at 11AM. Interment at Fairview Cemetery. Zoom link below
