Obituary for Richard Sicard
Mr. Richard Sicard was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, on April 15, 1955, to the late Justin Sicard and Noide Sicard. He was part of a large and loving family, with six brothers and five sisters: Emmanuel, Nissard, Ainard, Trevard, Clescard (Julius), Besnard, Sonia, Olivia, Jertha, Junia, and Elsa.
Early in his life, Richard immigrated to the United States with his parents. He attended English High School and later pursued higher education at Northeastern University and Wentworth Institute, where he developed the skills that would lead him to become a dedicated and accomplished engineer.
In 1986, Richard met Lorle Felix, who became his beloved wife. From this union, they were blessed with three sons: Gilbert, Danny, and Laurent who were the center of his world and the pride of his life.
He devoted 20 years of his career to General Electric, where he was respected as a talented and versatile electrical and mechanical engineer, before pursuing other endeavors in 2003.
Richard had a deep love for adventure and spent much of his life traveling and embracing new experiences. He was known for his strength, resilience, and unwavering determination, as well as his strong work ethic and devotion to his family.
Later in life, Richard faced significant health challenges. Throughout it all, he was surrounded by the steadfast love and care of his wife and children, who remained by his side and ensured he received the best care possible until his passing.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his three sons: Gilbert Sicard, Laurent Sicard, and Dannel Sicard, along with his many brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who were fortunate to know and love him.
Though it was painful to witness illness take a toll on his physical strength, it never diminished his spirit. His courage and dignity remained until the very end.
Thank you, Dad, for the invaluable lessons, the love, and the legacy you leave behind. May you be free from suffering and rest in eternal peace. You will forever be etched in our hearts.
