Richard M. Hyland, 80 of Dorchester, passed away on March 13, 2023 after a brief illness. He was born to Dorothy (Garvey) & Francis Hyland in Boston, Massachusetts on February 2, 1943.

Richard was the primary caretaker of his sister Dotty Hyland until she passed away in 2020. He worked for 52 years in security at the Museum of Fine Arts. He was also a member of the Hyde Park Council of the Knights of Columbus for many years. He loved to read and spent many hours discussing politics, history and old movies with his friend Manny. He always looked forward to a Dunkin Donuts coffee and will be missed by all who knew him.

Beloved brother of Ann Reaney of Braintree and her partner Manny Fortuna. Devoted uncle of Kristin Reaney & Tori Buck of Holbrook, Robert Reaney & Stephanie Morris of Everett, and great-niece Elaina Reaney of Everett. He is also survived by a host of extended relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held at Saint Mark Church, 1725 Dorchester Avenue, DORCHESTER on Monday, March 20th. from 9 - 10AM. Funeral Mass to begin at 10AM. Interment at Cedar Grove Cemetery.
