Obituary for Randolph "Slim" Spencer
Randolph Spencer, lovingly known as "Slim," was born in Pickens, Arkansas, and gained his heavenly wings on October 24, 2025 in Roxbury, Massachusetts.
Randolph was a man of grace, strength, and quiet humor. He grew up in Pickens, Arkansas before making his home in Massachusetts, where he built a life rooted in family, hard work, and love. He worked faithfully as a Certified Nursing Assistant and later dedicated his time and talent to his daughter's family business, Blue Wave Laundry, where he took pride in his work.
Known for his creativity and craftsmanship, Randolph had a deep passion for wood carving, a gift he shared freely and one that his family will forever treasure. His carvings, displayed here today, are a lasting symbol of his hands, vision, and artistic soul.
Randolph was also known for his love of sports and the outdoors.
Whether joining in on a game of basketball with the youth and happily showing them up, or playing first base on the Tab 8 softball team, he brought energy and joy to every game. He enjoyed long walks, listening to old-school music, and an avid lover for his dogs. Over the years he proudly cared for his beloved German Shepherds, Dobermans, and Pit Bulls.
Above all, Randolph will be remembered for his humor, strength, and unwavering willpower. He faced life with a steady spirit and a heart that cared deeply for his family.
He leaves behind two sisters, Doris Allen and Aretha Murphy. Four children: Randolph Spencer Jr., Jamal Spencer, Jamaine Spencer, and Sherelle Holloway, and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren who adored him.
Grandchildren:
Delaine Holloway, Jameela Holloway, Jalil Spencer, Donyea Holloway, Jazmine Spencer, Darelle Holloway, Jamai Spencer, Darla Holloway, Jamani Spencer, Jaylen Spencer, and Jayden Spencer.
Great-grandchildren:
Amaiya Ervin, Dalilah Holloway, Liam Harrison, Bentley and Azure Holloway Veal, and Devon Harris Jr.
Randolph is preceded in death by his parents, Luebertha White and Columbus Spencer, his siblings Samuel Williams, Jesse Williams, Dorothy Williams, Atniese Nelson, and Bernice Starks, his beloved wife, Sheril Spencer, and his cherished grandson, Daryl Holloway Jr.
Randolph's legacy lives on in every memory shared, every piece of wood he shaped, every laugh he sparked, and every life he
touched. He will forever be celebrated and missed.
