Prophete H. Etienne, 88, born on September 3, 1937 in Mirebalais, Haiti passed away peacefully in his home in Boston, MA on October 3, 2025. Prophete was cared for by his loving wife. Prophete lived a life marked by love, devotion, and strength.
Prophete “AKA” Ga to family and friends was a devoted husband whose love and loyalty to his wife was a true example of commitment. Ga expressed an exceptional profound love for his wife. Their love story wasn't just about romance, it was about partnership, laughter, and all the small gestures that said “You are my everything”. The kind of love that will live on forever.
Throughout his life, Ga was known for his compassionate spirit and resilient heart. He was also known for his vibrational joy and humor for everyone that came across his path. Despite his suffering in later years, he carried himself with dignity and courage teaching his family the true meaning of perseverance. Ga had a way of turning even the most ordinary moments into laughter. Whether playfully teasing his loved ones at the kitchen table or cracking a joke, he made sure his family always had reasons to smile up until his last day.
“Ga” is survived by his loving wife Lucia Jean-Baptiste; his children: Kedeler Etienne, Arnel Etienne, Renald Etienne, and Freda Etienne. Grandchildren: Gennica, Kalysa, Keshawn, Jude Reynaldo, Jordan, Nathan, Jonel, Layda, Oliver, Jacob, Ariah, Keia, Rojoyson, Helmsley, Joelleen, and Mark-Angelo. Stepchildren: Clytendre Jean-Michel, Sacquia Jean-Michel, Sandy Jean-Michel, and Geraldine Jean-Baptiste. Step-grandchildren: Kiyana Aldin, Jahmi Aldin, Alicia Dennery, Alvin Dennery, Kamillah Jean, Kaitlyn Guibert, Brayden Gregoire, Kingchild Moise, Karter Moise, and Ethan Gregoire.
He is also survived by his siblings: Elisabeth, Thomas, Junie, Lidia, Emmanuel, Dieudonne, Joseph, Jodis, Marie Jeanine and a host of extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory.
Ga's legacy of love, protection, and resilience will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Visitation will be held at the New Jerusalem Evangelical Baptist Church, 871 N. Main Street, RANDOLPH on Saturday, October 18th from 8-9AM. Funeral Service to begin at 9AM. Interment at Saint Michael Cemetery, BOSTON. Relatives and friends invited.
