Obituary for Pietro Lio

Pietro Lio, at home in Milton, Wednesday January 27, 2026.

Born in Santa Caterina, Villarmosa, Sicily, Pietro came to the United States at the age of 19. He settled in East Boston and worked in a dry cleaner. He and his wife Nella retired after many years owning and operating Fashion Quality Cleaners, located on Billings Road, Quincy.

Family was the focus of Pietro’s life. He was the beloved husband of the late Ida Nella (DiVirgilio)Lio. Loving father of Anna Marie Kapolis and her husband James of Milton and Anthony Lio and his wife Patricia, his loving and caring daughter-in-law. Cherished grandfather of Michael and Elena Kapolis and Philip and Anthony Lio. Brother of Salvatore Lio and the late Antonina Mini and Mario Lio.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 420 High Street, Dedham Saturday January 31 at 10:00 am. Relatives and friends invited. Visitation at Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Avenue, EAST MILTON SQUARE, Saturday from 8:00 – 9:00 am. Entombment Saint Michael’s Cemetery, Roslindale.
