Philomena C. Barron, 96, passed away peacefully after a short illness.

Born in County Sligo, Ireland, Philomena carried her Irish heritage with pride throughout her life. She will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, unwavering love for her family, and the many lives she touched with her generosity and strength.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, John J. Barron; her parents, Bernard and Josephine Reynolds; her brothers, Robert and Aidan; her sisters, Loretta, Margaret, and Florence.

Philomena is survived by her loving son, John B. Barron, and his wife, Michelle of Portland, OR and by her beloved daughter, Loretta M. Barron of Quincy, MA.

She also leaves to cherish her memory her three grandchildren, Rachel, Martha and Patrick and her three great grandchildren, August, Margaux and Brendan.

She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, nieces, nephews, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Though she is no longer with us, her love and legacy will remain in the hearts of those who loved her.

May she rest in eternal peace.

Visiting hours at the Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington Street, DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS on Thursday, July 23rd 5-7PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Gregory Church, 2215 Dorchester Avenue, Dorchester on Friday, July 24th at 10AM. Interment at Cedar Grove Cemetery.
