With profound sadness and love, we announce the passing of Philip C. Cadeus, who departed this life on September 6, 2026, just days before his 38th birthday.

Philip was born on September 12, 1988, in Boston, Massachusetts, to his loving parents, Chantal Lucien and Philip Robert Pierre Cadeus. He was raised and educated in Boston, the city that remained an important part of both his personal life and professional journey.

Philip dedicated much of his career to public safety and protection services, a path that reflected his natural desire to look out for and care for others. In more recent years, he worked as a conductor for the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA), where he continued to serve the community and encountered people from all walks of life.

Those who knew Philip will remember far more than the work he did. He was loving, warm, generous, and full of life. He had a great heart and an openness that made it easy for people to feel welcomed into his world. He loved to smile, laugh, travel, experience new things, and simply enjoy life.

Philip also had a deep love for football, especially the New England Patriots. Whether watching a game, wearing his Patriots gear, or cheering on his team, football was one of the things that brought him joy and created special moments with family and friends.

Above all, Philip loved his family. He leaves behind his beloved parents, Chantal Lucien and Philip Robert Pierre Cadeus; his second mother, Monique Cadeus; his only daughter, Lovina Cadeus; his sister, Cherie-Ann Extra; and his brothers, Brandon Extra, Ryan Cadeus, Daniel Cadeus, and Emmanuel Cadeus.

He also leaves behind extended family members, dear friends, coworkers, and many loved ones who held a special place in his heart and whose lives were touched by his kindness, generosity, friendship, and love.

Philip’s life was far too short, but the love he gave during his time here cannot be measured simply in years. As we mourn his passing, we also celebrate the life he lived—the smiles, the laughter, the love, and the memories that made him who he was.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 19th from 10 - 11 AM at First Haitian Baptist Church, 397 Blue Hill Avenue, Dorchester. A funeral service will follow beginning at 11 AM. Friends and family are welcome. Interment in Oak Lawn Cemetery.
