Hi, I'm Paula McCreath, the daughter of Lenroy McCreath and the firstborn twin of my father, and my brother's name is Paul. I met my wonderful auntie P for the first time in August 2019 and had the opportunity to spend two weeks with the family in Boston, Massachusetts. My aunt welcomed me with open arms and a big hug. I lay in bed beside my aunt as she reminisced about growing up as a child and our family history, with a smile on her face. Then suddenly she turned with a laugh and said, "You can't miss; you got the McCreath nose and face." So, what is your name? I said Paula. Auntie began to laugh again, so we have the same "P" name. Then Auntie went on to ask me about my children and their names. I began to laugh, and Auntie said, "Why are you laughing? Because my children's names begin with P's (Primo, Phoebe, and Phabian), Auntie said, "You did want to finish the whole book with P's.". When it was time to go to sleep, Auntie said, "Go inna u bed; I like to sleep alone." Then I began to laugh because my aunt was very funny. Our beds were beside each other in the same room. Then one morning, around 2 a.m., Auntie slipped out of bed, knowing that she must not be eating at that time of the morning. I pretend to be asleep as I watch Aunt P attempt to take food out of the refrigerator when I say, "Auntie, what are you doing in the fridge?" Auntie replies, "Wey u a watch mi for, u should be sleeping." Auntie is slicker than them in the house; Auntie knows when they're fast asleep to sneak and get food. Auntie P, I love you very much, and I'm happy I've expressed that to you. Auntie P, you have lived a full and complete life in Jesus Christ and are now walking on the street of glory, singing with the angels, and seeing your saviour My family, my heart goes out to you for the loss of your wonderful mom, my aunt, and I know how much she meant to you and all who had the opportunity to meet her. I will keep the family in my thoughts and prayers.
