Obituary for Pauline M. White
Pauline M. White, 96, of White Horse Beach, Plymouth, formerly of Quincy and Roxbury, passed away on October 16, 2026. She was born in Boston to John and Mary Cook. She had 3 sisters with whom she shared a special bond, predeceased by Dorothy and Mary and survived by Elizabeth. She was a wonderful Aunt to many nieces and nephews.
She was married to Walter C. White for 16 wonderful years until his sudden passing in 1968, leaving her to raise their six children. She devoted all her time, love, and energy to ensure that her children were well taken care of. She eventually went to work as a customer service representative where she enjoyed a 20-year career in the trade show industry, retiring from the Freeman Company in 1997.
Pauline is survived by her children, twelve grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren as follows:
Walter and his wife Patricia, Mary and her husband Phil, Theresa and her companion dog Jay Mountain, Michael and his former wife Denise, John and his wife Teresa, Linda and her husband Freddy; her grandchildren Joseph, Jaqueline and her husband Matt, Mark and his wife Meg, Benjamin and his wife Elizabeth, Chelsea and her fiancé Tyler, Connor and his wife Brianna, Chloe and her husband JJ, Taylor and her husband Jimmy, Jillian and her husband Corey, Rachael, John and Adam; her great-grandchildren Thomas, Abigail, John, Elizabeth, Grace, Archer, Vance, Sofia, Bennett, Maverick, Bodie, Margot, Liam, Dylan, Kaine and Cohan.
With deep love and gratitude, we celebrate the life of our beloved mother leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories. She lived a long and meaningful life, touching the hearts of those fortunate enough to know her. Family was very important to her, and she took special joy in spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They were the light of her life, a constant source of happiness and pride. She adored each of them and found her greatest blessings in the time they spent together. An example of this is a tradition of making gingerbread houses which began with her first-born grandchild, Joseph, and has continued for over 35 years. This tradition was one of the highlights of the Christmas season, which she loved so much. She enjoyed any opportunity to bring her family together and took great joy in cooking and baking for them. Post retirement, she took cake decorating classes learning to create beautiful cakes for birthdays and holidays, adding a special touch of love to every celebration. Her delicious treats and lovingly decorated cakes brought joy to her family and helped make so many special occasions even more memorable. There were also many cookouts and celebrations at her home in White Horse Beach where family and friends gathered to share laughter, love, and cherished memories. She was surrounded by so much love and support and gave the same in return. Her memory will forever be a blessing.
