Obituary for Paul J. McGrath
Paul J. McGrath, age 78, of Milton, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on February 20, 2025.
Beloved son of the late John “Paul” and Mary (Killilea) McGrath. Devoted brother of Mary Kane and Patricia McGrath both of Milton. Loving brother-in-law of the late Robert Kane. Cherished uncle of Kristin Montgomery and her husband Sean of Easton, and Laura Staunton and her husband David of Milton. Adoring great-uncle of Jonathan, Kaitlynn, Miles and Shane. Also survived many caring extended family and friends.
Proud United States Marine Corp Vietnam Veteran and devout Catholic. Paul was a graduate of Norfolk Agricultural School and UMASS – Boston, he had a dedicated career at MIT-Cambridge as a Research Scientist. Paul had a passion for education and science, believing in youth education, he enjoyed teaching and mentoring students throughout his career. Along with science, and education, Paul truly had a pure heart and green thumb. It was shown thru his gardening and caring for all animals especially dogs “Man’s Best Friend.”
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday February 24, 2025 at Our Lady of the Visitation Parish, Saint Elizabeth Church, 350 Reedsdale Rd., MILTON at 10:00 AM. Interment in Milton Cemetery, MILTON. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday February 23, 2025 at Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Ave., EAST MILTON SQUARE from 1-4 PM.
