Obituary for Patricia Eileen McGrath

Patricia Eileen McGrath, 68, of Milton, passed away October 3, on the campus of Faulkner Hospital, due to a tragic car accident.

A lifelong resident of Milton, MA; born at Milton Hospital March 17, 1958. Patricia was the youngest of three children. Born on St. Patrick’s Day, she seemed destined to carry a special connection to her faith, her Irish heritage and family who loved her.

Patricia attended St. Mary of the Hills School grade 1-8 and graduated from Milton High School. She was an excellent student and pursued a degree in Pharmacy at Mass College of Pharmacy. Later employed at Mass Eye and Ear and Newton Wellesley Hospital.

She was extremely sensitive and cared about her family. She adored her grandnephews and her grandniece; and looked forward to all birthdays and holiday celebrations. Then there was her other great love. It was the Bulldogs. To her they were not just pets, they were her family.

She was an avid member of St. Elizabeth Church, the Milton Woman’s Club, The Bull Dog Club of America and Friends of Milton Library.

Beloved daughter of the late Paul McGrath and Mary (Killilea) McGrath. Devoted sister of Mary Kane and the late Paul John McGrath. Loving sister-in-law of the late Robert Kane. Cherished aunt of Kristin Montgomery and her husband Sean of Easton, and Laura Staunton and her husband David of Milton. Adoring great-aunt of Jonathan, Kaitlynn, Miles and Shane. Also survived many caring extended family and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of the Visitation Parish, Saint Elizabeth Church, 350 Reedsdale Rd., MILTON Friday October 9 at 11:30 AM Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours at Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Avenue, EAST MILTON SQUARE, Thursday October 8, from 4-7 PM. Interment Milton Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Patricia may be made to National Kidney Foundation Finance Department, 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016

    I was horrified when I heard the news that an innocent person who was sitting on a bench on a nice day was hit by a car and killed. I just heard today that it was Patricia McGrath from my graduating class of 1976. RIP dear Patricia🙏🏻💐. My condolences to your family.
