Obituary for Pamela Anne Turner

Pamela Anne Turner of Cambridge, died in West Newton on December 6, 2025, at the age of 78.

She is the daughter of the late John Henry Turner and Rosa (Hodge) Turner, Sister of Richard Turner and his wife Betty of TX, Kenneth Dunn, Jr. and his wife Priscilla of MA, Gerard E. Dunn and his wife Jennifer of GA, Rosa Howard and her husband James of GA, Lorna Keel and her husband Daniel of CT, Leonard Turner of MA, and Lauren Turner of NY. She was predeceased by her brothers Jack Turner and Laurence Turner.

Pamela was born in Boston, MA. She was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, having dedicated her life to him in July of 1995. She enjoyed the Christian ministry and loved people. She spent many years in Boston, but eventually moved to Rocky Hill, CT where she lived for 22 years. There, she lovingly cared for her mother until her death in 2018. Pamela subsequently returned to MA in 2021 and resided in Cambridge until her illness forced her into West Newton Healthcare.

Pamela enjoyed tap dancing and ‘oldies’ music. Her favorites included Mary Wells, Brenda Holloway and Phyllis Hyman. She enjoyed card games and would often play with family members until the wee hours of the morning. Pam loved fitness and was an avid walker. She could walk for miles and her friendly disposition moved her to talk to and make friends with anyone she met along the way. She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.

Her family would like to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to all who have been so loving and supportive at this sorrowful time. A special thanks to the staff at West Newton Healthcare and the wonderful folks at Dolan Funeral Home.

My dearest sister: I am better because of you. Rosa, your mother started what you had completed. All the Awakes and the Watch towers: and I can still hear your voice reminding me that it's not about me. It is about Jehovah's humility. I am better because you gave me all of yourself until none of you was left. This day I am keeping the covenant, and I will be doing the commandments as a tribute for my dearest sister, Pam.
