Nola Lawson, beloved wife, and mother, passed on November 26, 2021, at Boston Medical Center surrounded by her family at 79 years of age.

Nola was born in Suffolk, Virginia on March 11, 1942. She married the love of her life Robert Lawson Sr. December 28, 1984, who was with her by her side until she departed this world. They were married for 36 years. She was the sweetest and most kind and generous person.

Nola was preceded in death by her parents, John & Maggie Reid; her siblings John Reid Jr. (Buddy), Susie Myrick & Raymond Reid; her son McKinley Ward and one grandchild Kenyna and one great grandchild Denajia. Nola will be forever missed by her husband Robert, her two sisters Mary Porter Franklin and Sally Jenkins, her children Theresa Ward-Joseph, Earnest Ward J., Annie Denise Ward-Strother and Rodney Lawson. Her 15 Grandchildren and a host of Great Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews and many other family and friends who deeply love her.

A Funeral Service will be held at Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington Street, DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS, Wednesday, December 8 at 11:00 AM. Family and friends invited. Visiting hours will be prior to the service from 9-11 AM.
