Nikia “Nicky” Washington passed away suddenly on August 23rd, 2022 with her family by her side. Nikia was born on April 25th, 1975 in Mobile, Alabama.

At an early age, Nicky confessed her life to Christ and was a member of the People’s Baptist Church. Nicky was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, cousin, and friend. She was always the life of the party and the first person to extend her hand when anyone was in need. Nikia loved going to school and learning about new things. She graduated with two Associate Degrees: one in Medical Billing and Coding and the other in Social Work.

Nikia was preceded in death by her infant son, Nakeim Washington. She is survived by her mother Patricia Ann Washington-Ambroise, her stepfather Yvon Ambroise, two children: Nicholas Washington and Nyanna Washington-Murray, and two grandchildren: Nylin & Nylah. Along with her siblings: Gia, Jonathan, Leslie, Icey, Markus, and Patricia Joy. Sixteen nieces and nephews: De’Quan, Ndia, Xzavier, Lesley, Leslie, Phyliss, Jon’a, Unique, Amantha, Tkhari, Leslie, Ismoriah, Markus, Journee, Malachi, Kaidyn, and Mya. Three great nephews: De’Quan Jr, Clael, and Jerrell. Three aunts: Johngelyn (Ezekiel) Washington, Essie (Hilton) Washington-Richardson, and Annette (Harris). Two supportive sisters/cousins: Lucretia Washington and Johngelyn (Horace) Alleyne. Five godchildren: Cassandra, Cassan, Laron, Markus, and Journee. Two beloved friends: Chasity Bowick and Unaira Jackson. Honorary grandmother: Ms. Queenie and a host of relatives and friends. Nicky will be sorely missed by all who knew her and loved her.

Visitation will be held at Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington Street, DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS on Friday, September 2nd from 10-11AM. Funeral Service at 11am.
