Michena “Nounoune” Occivil was called home unexpectedly on July 11, 2023, at the age of 32.

Nounoune or “Nunu” was born December 21, 1990, in Boston, Massachusetts to parents Marie Lourdes Occivil and Michelet Occivil.

Nounoune grew up in Boston, and most of her childhood memories were shared with her brothers Wizley, and Fabrice. As a child, Nounoune was known as the tough girl, because she was the only girl amongst two brothers, & they wouldn’t have it any other way. Her brothers paved her path to being the levelheaded woman she was, and she loved them dearly. When her brothers would act out, she didn’t let them overwhelm her, she found common ground. The family was everything to Nounoune, and if you knew her, you knew the love she had for her parents and brothers.

Nounoune’s family later relocated to Stoughton, Ma where she attended high school and graduated in June 2009. She began her higher education studies at Massasoit Community College for a degree in Liberal Arts.

Nounoune loved music, traveling, eating, and her favorite was her mother’s cooking. She was intelligent, independent, sensitive, and incredibly compassionate. Nounoune cared so deeply for her younger brother Brezzy, his passing heavily weighed on her so much so; that she never failed to mention how much she loved and missed him.

Her family and friends remember her as a loving, genuine, confidant. She is survived by her Mother Marie Lourdes Occivil, brother Wizley Occivil, close friends- Chalè, Derrick, Andy, Terrance, Nina, Josiane, Kayla, and a host of other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her father Michelet Occivil and brother Fabrice Occivil.

Nounoune’s memory will live on forever in our hearts where she will always remain. Her love, her voice, her laugh and her smile will forever live, imprinted in our minds, and souls.

Visitation will be held at New Jerusalem Evangelical Church on Saturday July 29th from 8-9AM. Funeral Service to begin at 9AM. Interment at Central Cemetery.
