Obituary for Mary Regina Dobson

Regina Dobson, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2025, surrounded by her family. A lifelong resident of Milton, MA, Regina was preceded in death by her husband, Paul, and is survived by her children Catherine Durso Lincoln (Jeffrey), Alex Durso (Shaneen), and Julie McGrath (Christopher), along with her eight cherished grandchildren.

Born and raised in Massachusetts, Regina graduated from Simmons College and began her career at the American Meteorological Society before finding her true calling in real estate with Coldwell Banker.

Regina had an unmatched love for animals, especially dogs. As the former president of the Animal Rescue League, she spent decades rescuing and caring for animals in need, giving countless dogs a safe, loving place to call home. Her family often joked that she loved dogs more than anything, a truth she embraced with pride. She and Paul also treasured their summers sailing Boston Harbor and spending time in Nova Scotia.

She will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.

Visitation at Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Avenue, EAST MILTON SQUARE, Friday December 12 from 9-10:15 AM, followed by a funeral service at Saint Michael's Episcopal Church, 112 Randolph Avenue, Milton at 11:00 AM. Interment Milton Cemetery.

In honor of Regina’s lifelong dedication to animals, donations may be made to the Milton Animal League, 100 Access Road, Milton, MA 02186.

Deepest condolences to all. She was always so kind, and I was grateful to have had the chance to chat with her most recently when I bumped into her in Milton. May she rest in peace.

Julie - I am so sorry for your loss. I met your mother only a few times but she was such a lovely person each time that I spoke with her. A donation has been made in her honor to the animal rescue. With love, Rebecca (and the rest of the Ballows).
