Mary Jane Kinne died at her home on Boylston Street, Boston, Massachusetts, July 8, 2026.

She was born in Dorr, Michigan, June 16, 1932 to Fay Leland Kinne and Viola AnnMarie Harig. She lived with her mother and grandmother in Kalamazoo, MI through high school, then came to live with her father and stepmother in South Orleans, MA. Mary Jane graduated from Regis College, Weston, Class of ’54, and then attended Boston University, where she received a master’s degree in psychology. After graduation she worked at the Brockton VA Hospital. She then was hired by Gillette and worked as an Executive Secretary for many years until she retired in 1990.

Mary Jane was an active member at St. Cecilia’s Parish in Boston and enjoyed spending time at the museums, Symphony and Boston Public Library. She delighted in running and riding her bicycle along the Charles River for exercise.

Mary Jane is survived by her cousin, Joseph and his wife Sheryl Cunningham.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Cecilia Parish, 18 Belvidere Street, Boston, Wednesday July 29 at 11:00 am. All are invited. She will be buried in the Cunningham plot in Milton Cemetery, Milton.
