Dear Family of Marion, It is with great sadness, but many fond memories that I remember Marion (and also Oliver). Winter Valley was truly blessed by their presence here. As the Activities Director for 19 years, it's been my honor to know this extraordinary couple since their arrival. Both came to many programs & events over the years. They never failed to impress me with their gentle, thoughtful, and kind sincerity. They were truly remarkable and I will always remember them. I regret not purchasing one of Oliver's hand carved walking sticks when I had the chance. I greatly admired his ability and know he often gave them to his friends. Marion was gifted in knitting and sewing and helped other residents with mending and clothing repairs. I have various photos of them both and would be happy to send them to family via email or text. Please accept my heartfelt condolences. It's a big loss for our community. Sincerely, Liz O'Rourke, Winter Valley Activities Director 617-898-2030
