Marie, little Marie had a big enormous heart! She is missed greatly at Winter Valley, especially in Building 5 where she lived. She loved to show us her quilts, blankets and other creations that she gave away for free to those who needed them, or as gifts to those she loved. What a wonderful time we had at Winter Valley, eating together many of Marie's delicious recipes. Once I took her on a van trip to Market Basket and she loaded up the cart so high, so full, it was a wonder she could push it. Then, in the checkout line, she started to sink and was ready to pass out. I was right behind her and shouted to the cashier to get a chair for her. Thankfully a seat was provided, but eventually Marie conceded that calling 911 was best. I can't remember what happened to all the groceries, but I am very sure she found another way to get them. Spunky & Sassy are 2 words I hear from folks who describe Marie and what they love about her. Truly she was one of a kind in so many ways. Blessings & comfort to all who knew and appreciated her. Your fans at WV love & miss you, Marie! Deepest Condolences, Liz O'Rourke, Activities Director, Winter Valley

My favorite memory of Marie is that growing up we would get to choose our favorite dinner on our Birthday. Marie could cook better than anyone. Her spaghetti and meatballs and stuffed peppers were always a family favorite! Thank you for so many amazing memories growing up 💕. You will be so missed

She was awesome and missed by many many other people. We had a lot of fun we did a lot of quilt together made a lot of food together, we had laughed together. We had dinner together, trips together show, and remembered the time that we went up to Maine, looking for material to make an i spi quilt for Luca . Had to believe she's gone, but at least she's with Richard now and when she found out she had cancer she said she said now I can be with Richard and my brothers up in heaven. And with a heavy heart I bid her goodbye. She shall always be loved and remembered for who she was.
