Obituary for Marie T. Rosemond-Elie

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Marie T. Rosemond-Elie, who entered into eternal rest on July 17, 2026, at the age of 79.

Born on December 6, 1946, in Aux Cayes, Haiti, to Joseph and Merosa Rosemond, Marie lived a life rooted in faith, resilience, and unconditional love. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose greatest joy came from caring for those she loved.

Marie found happiness in attending church, preparing delicious meals for her family, and watching her favorite soap operas, especially General Hospital. She took great pride in being a provider for her family and treasured every moment spent with them. Her home was a place of warmth, love, and togetherness.

Despite facing many health challenges throughout the years, Marie remained incredibly strong, determined, and full of life. Her unwavering faith, courage, and compassionate spirit were an inspiration to everyone who knew her.

Marie was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Joseph and Merosa Rosemond, and her cherished sister Ivila Rosemond and three brothers Nelson, Delande & Petuel Rosemond.

She leaves behind her devoted husband, Adrien Elie; her loving child and stepchildren, Jennifer Menard, James Elie, Murielle Florestal, and Jeff Elie; and her adored grandchildren, Jhenè Menard, Terry Elie, Jayden Florestal, Sariyah Elie, Ethan Elie, Jayda Florestal & Ariel Florestal. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins , and dear friends whose lives were enriched by her kindness and love.

Although our hearts are heavy with grief, we are grateful for the beautiful memories Marie leaves behind. Her legacy of faith, strength, generosity, and unconditional love will continue to live on through all who were blessed to know her.

“Well done, good and faithful servant.” — Matthew 25:23

Marie will be deeply missed, forever loved, and forever remembered. May she rest peacefully in the presence of the Lord.
