Margaret (Peggy) Heavey of Milton and Centerville, passed away on Monday, March 29, 2021 at her Milton home with her sisters by her side holding her hands.

Peggy graduated from Fontbonne Academy, Milton Class of ’64. She also graduated from Boston State College with a BA in Elementary Education Class of ’68. She earned a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Northeastern University, Boston Class of ’72. Peggy taught at the Mabelle Burell Elementary School, Foxboro for 36 years.

She was a wonderful sister, aunt and friend, always fun to be around and a daughter her parents were very proud of. Peggy was an avid reader, swimmer, enjoyed knitting and belonged to the Milton Senior Bowling League.

Beloved daughter of the late Martin J. and Mary (Luby) Heavey. Loving and best friend to her sisters Eileen Heavey of Milton and Centerville, Geraldine Heavey and her husband Joseph McDonough of Byfield and Shapeigh, ME, Claire Rogers and her late husband Paul of Quincy, Mary Motta and her husband Robert of Foxboro and two generations of nieces and nephews.

Per Peggy’s wishes, there are no visiting hours.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Agatha Church, Adams Street at Brook Road, Milton Monday April 5 at 10:15 AM. Family and friends invited. Interment Milton Cemetery.

Peggy’s family plan a celebration of her life at a later date.
