Obituary for Lucienne Michel

On April 25, 2023, our beloved Lucienne Michel got her wings and went to walk with the angels.

On April 14, 1938, the Matriarch of our family was born. Lucienne spent her early years in Cap Haitian where she met her late husband Ludovic Joseph and raised their children. Lucienne was the loving mother of Jacques Lesly, Viergella, Evelyn, Ulrick Emmanuel, Pierre Marie, Emmanuella, Jesula and Audilia. She survived her older brother Raphael Michel and 19 grandchildren who loved her deeply.

She spent several years traveling to different parts of the Caribbean working as merchant before settling in the United States. In order to provide a better life for her children, she settled in 1987 in Boston Massachusetts. Through her hard work and perseverance, she brought all of her children with 3 grandchildren to America.

Our precious Lucienne opened her home to many over the years. We were so blessed to have her in our lives. Those who knew Lucienne, knew that she had a kind soul and was truly a woman of God. Lucienne taught us all to love all, forgive others and follow the faith of God. We will continue to keep her values instilled in our home for generations to come.

We lost the glue that keeps us all together. We are grateful to the Universe for these 85 wonderful years.

Visitation will be held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 1548 Blue Hill Avenue on Saturday May 6th from 9-10AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the church at 10AM. Interment at Saint Michael Cemetery.

We want to express our gratitude for the exceptional life our mother led. She was a source of inspiration for all who knew her, through her kindness, generosity, empathy, and unconditional love for her family and friends. We are deeply saddened by her loss, but we are also aware that her memory will remain eternal and that her legacy will continue to live on through all of us. Ulrick-Emmanuel Noel
