I met Lou in high school. I called him the gental giant always smiling. He was a year ahead of me. Back in the day if a senior spoke to you it was like the biggest thing. He came and looked down at me and said hey your Wanda right? I said yes and you are Lou Larry He just looked at me and walked away but then turned around and said congrats on the championship. I almost dropped. We had just won the state Champion track meet over the weekend. I was on cloud nine and since then we were good friends. I'll miss our talks Lou. Thank you for the encouragement when I was going through my battle with Cancer. Rest Peacefully my gentle giant.🙏🏾❤️

I will always remember Lou as an outstanding and giving person. He provided guidance, support and mentorship to so many of my students over my six years at CHS. I always considered it an honor to have worked along side him and blessed to watch him skillfully help students make good life choices.
