Obituary for Li'Jahmil James Bowden
Li’Jahmil James Bowden was born on May 4, 1993 in Boston, Massachusetts to LaRussia Harris and Jamil Bowden. On Saturday, October 28, 2023 he departed this life suddenly to be with God. He was known to all his family and friends as “Squirt”. The name “Squirt” was given to him by his Aunt Ayanna because as a baby there wouldn’t be a time when she would change him and he didn’t have an accident on her.
Li’Jahmil grew up in the Boston, MA area and later relocated after unforeseen circumstances to reside with his grandmother Catherine Harris aka Love. Li’Jahmil was the one who originated the name of Love for his grandmother. She used to always hug and kiss on him and say give me love so he associated that with love and he starting calling her that and it has stuck for the last 30 years. Li’Jahmil was a very energetic loving little boy, he participated in several outside activities growing up including but not limited to football and a youth leadership program at the Paul Roberson Institute. Li’jahmil was the oldest of 7 children from his mother.
Li’Jahmil was educated in the Brookline, MA school system. As a youth Li’Jahmil started to be interested in football and his love for football was tremendous, his favorite team was the New England Patriots. Li’Jahmil was employed over the years as a customer service representative.
