There are few people in this world that knew me better than my dear friend Kevin. Friend actually isn't even a strong enough word. Kevin was my brother, confidant, and mentee throughout his teen years and much of his adulthood. I will miss that smile, those dimples, all of our inside jokes, his passion for music, and the tremendous support he always showed me. Kevin believed in me before a lot people knew anything about me, and that motivated and validated me. His family (I love you Keisha!!), friends, students, and loved ones all over the country will miss him dearly. It will not be the same for me taking the stage in Boston without Kode by my side, or even playing a game of Madden knowing how many days we spent playing video games and enjoying life as youth. Kevvy Kev, Ovaflow, Kode Knox, Coah Garc (Lif says goodbye for now, bro) - I love you, and I will take you with me in my heart everywhere I go for as long as I live. My deepest, deepest, heartfelt condolonces to Keisha, Martha, JAYDEN , and the rest of the family. I am sorry I am not with you today to embrace you all and get through this together. - Jared

Kevin was a memorable young man -- active, passionate, full of ideas. He went full speed ahead most of the time. He took a lot from and gave a lot back to the Fenway HS community. It's hard to know he's no longer with us in body, but he is with us in other ways. Rest well, love and peace, and to his family and loved ones. Larry Myatt, Headmaster, Fenway HS

Kevin and I would sit on the phone at lengths once or twice a year, we would discuss Music, Culture, Kids. Our last conversation about His Podcast and doing an interview about our History in Music was a very long and entertaining dualogue with lots of laughter. I could vividly see Kevin's smile even when he laughed on the phone. We often sent each other songs for critique and sharing ideas. Kevin was a thoughtful, Talented and ambitious Man, may he live on thru his Son, his Music and Memories. My Condolences to all who Loved Kev. Kode Knox! Forever . Tomas Reyes II and Family

Kevin was such an amazing man. I am heartbroken to hear this news. We worked together years ago at The Harbor School and I called him my "school brother". The impact that he had on all who knew him but especially kids... he was a true example of representation matters. I loved watching the way those kids looked at him and wanted to be like him. And the way he could change the energy in a room just by entering it. His humor and laugh was unmatched. My sincerest condolences to his family and his entire village. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time. Laina Cox Washington, DC
