Obituary for Kerry A. Fitzgerald

Kerry A. Fitzgerald, 48, of Weymouth, MA, formerly of Mansfield, MA, and East Bridgewater, MA, passed away unexpectedly on June 2, 2022.

Kerry was born on October 30, 1973 to Thomas W. Fitzgerald and the late Barbara B. Fitzgerald in Weymouth, MA. A graduate of East Bridgewater High School she went on complete a college degree at Stonehill College in Easton, MA.

After graduating with a B.A. in Psychology, Kerry spent most of her career in finance, most recently working as a Vice President at Citizens. In her free time, Kerry enjoyed working on home improvement projects, advocating for abused or neglected animals, fostering many dogs over the years, helping others, and spending time with her family. In particular, she loved spending time with her daughter, Chelsea, who was her pride and joy.

Kerry was predeceased by her mother, Barbara Barrett Fitzgerald. She is survived by her daughter, Chelsea Newell, of Manchester, NH, and her husband, Mitchell; her father, Thomas Fitzgerald of Easton, MA, and his wife Rena; her brother, Peter Fitzgerald, of Somerset, MA; her sister, Amy Conde, and her husband Mark, of Dorchester, MA; her brother, Tommy Fitzgerald, of Rockland, MA; her sister, Teressa Cleary, and her husband Keith, of Mansfield, MA; her brother, Joseph Fitzgerald, of Easton, MA; her sister, Tara Leal, and her husband, Jonathan, of Taunton, MA; nephews and nieces, and her fiancé, Thomas McCarron, of Weymouth, MA, formerly of Ireland.

Visitation at Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Avenue, EAST MILTON SQUARE, Saturday, June 18, 4 – 6 PM with a service at 6 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Rescue Dogs Rock NYC (https://rescuedogsrocknyc.org/) in Kerry’s honor, or another charity of your choice.
