Obituary for Kenya L. Clifton

Kenya L. Clifton was born on March 7, 1972, in Great Falls, Montana, to Gladys M. Clifton and Kenneth P. Clifton. Kenya was raised in Boston, Massachusetts, where she built a life rooted in love, resilience, and deep connection to family and community.

Kenya was a proud graduate of Snowden International School at Copley, Class of 1990. She went on to pursue a career as a medical assistant, dedicating herself to helping others with compassion and care. She was known for her loving spirit, her sense of humor, and her unwavering commitment to those she held close. Kenya had a special way of making people feel seen, supported, and valued.

Above all, Kenya was family-oriented. She found her greatest joy in being a mother and grandmother, and her love for her family was the center of her life.

She is survived by her mother, Gladys Cooper; her stepfather, Richard Priest Jr.; her children, Kai Clifton, and Kaela Lisenby (David); and her cherished grandchildren, David Lisenby Jr. and Kaziah Lisenby.

Kenya’s memory will live on through the love she gave so freely and the many lives she touched through her kindness and generosity.

Viewing and funeral services will be held at New Hope Baptist Church in Hyde Park MA, on Friday, May 8, 2026. The viewing will take place at 10:00 a.m, followed by the funeral service from 11a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery.
