Kellip “KP” Moore age 85, passed away on September 25, 2022, at his home. He was the first of three sons born to the late Major and Beatrice Moore on March 20, 1937, in Brittons Neck, South Carolina.

Kellip graduated from Bethel High School and attended AME Bethel Church, later relocating to Cocoa, Florida at the age of 18. He worked for the City of Cocoa, Public Works Department for many years before moving to Boston, Massachusetts in 1962 with his wife Waver Moore, where they settled and raised three children.

Kellip retired from the Hersey Meter Company in Dedham, after dedicating over 20 years of service. Kellip truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures like fishing, gardening, and spending time with his family and friends.

Kellip memories will forever be cherished, he was the loving father of Michael Moore (Lisa) of West Bridgewater, Anthony Moore of Boston, and Eric Moore (Sebrina) of Brockton. He was “Papa and Grampy” to his beloved grandchildren Marc Moore, Shante Moore, Eric Moore Jr, Mackenzie Moore, and Michaela Moore. He is survived by two brothers Roy Moore (Mariah) of Mattapan and James Moore (Betty Ann) of Dorchester, and his devoted Goddaughters Yolanda Tubbs of Dorchester and Carla Johnson of Randolph. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The Wake will be held this Friday, October 7, 2022, from 4:00pm – 8:00pm Eastern, at Dolan Funeral Home 1140 Washington Street Dorchester

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday October 8, 2022, at Lily of the Valley Baptist Church, 1248 Blue Hill Ave, Mattapan, at 11AM. Visitation with the family 10AM at the church.
