Kay was a dear friend to me for 38 years, and over those many years, she became so much more than a friend—she was like a mother to me. After Kay lost her husband, Dick, her sister, Elaine, and her son, Rich, we began a tradition of spending every Thursday together. Those Thursdays became some of the most meaningful and cherished times of my life. We would shop, have lunch, talk, laugh, and simply enjoy each other's company. Most recently, some of our favorite lunches were at Abby Park. Kay was one of the most gracious, loving, and generous people I have ever known. She gave so freely of her time, her kindness, and her love. I will always treasure the countless memories we made together and the special place she held in my heart. I will miss her deeply, but I will forever be grateful that life gave me the gift of Kay and 38 wonderful years of friendship. She will always be remembered, always be loved, and always have a place in my heart. Peace, love and Joy, Rose Gates

The few times over the many years that I had the pleasure of seeing Aunt Kay, it was always memorable. I found her to be a very cultured individual with a lot of grace. We lost touch when COVID hit and hoped she was doing well.
