Kathleen M. MacLeod, age 77, a resident of Milton, MA passed away on June 17, 2026, at home with her husband, her dog Oliver and cats Rachel and Cosmo by her side. Kathleen is survived by Norma MacLeod, her beloved husband of 55 years who loved her deeply.

Kathleen was born in Yakima, Washington and lived for several years with her family in India and Ghana before returning to the United States for high school and college. Kathleen worked for several years as a flight attendant with Trans World Airlines before transitioning to work as a travel agent and then as a veterinary assistant. Following a move to the Boston area in 1992, Kathleen volunteered for many years assisting patients at an AIDS hospice and as a volunteer at a local animal shelter.

Kathleen struggled for many years with depression and anxiety disorder, but she never let her personal struggle get in the way of her compassion for those in need, both human, and animals. Her kindness, giving nature and wonderful sense of humor were displayed throughout her volunteer work and philanthropic support of many worthy charities.
