Kathleen (Connolly) Cosgrove, of Dorchester, passed away September 13, 2026, peacefully after a short illness.

She was born on March 13th, 1947 to the late Patrick and Elizabeth Connolly. Kathleen was employed by Milton Health Care and retired after over 30 years.

Known as “Ma” to everyone, she was a loving and devoted woman who always made friends and family a priority. She was very involved in the life of her family and never hesitated to take care of those who needed her.

She had a special way of making everyone feel loved. No one left Ma’s house without hearing her favorite words, “I love you, God bless.”

She is survived by her daughter, Kelly Alves, and her husband, Charles Carroll, of Dorchester; her grandchildren, Devon and his wife Kimberly, Caitlin, Ryan, Benjamin, Phelim, and Makenzie. Kathleen was predeceased by her brother James Connolly of Dorchester. She will be laid to rest with her beloved late husband, Francis Cosgrove, and her son, Patrick Rogers (BPD).

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Ann Church, 251 Neponset Avenue, Dorchester Monday September 21 at 10:00 am. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours at Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Avenue, EAST MILTON SQUARE, Sunday 2-5 PM.
