Joseph T. Monahan passed away peacefully on February 9th, 2023 surrounded by his family.

Joseph, always know as Joe, grew up in Dorchester and was a graduate of Boston Latin class of 1975. Joe was known by all those around him for his uniquely charismatic sense of humor and the known ability to light up any room he walked into. The things Joe enjoyed the most in life included being out on the the golf course, a full day of Sunday football, and most importantly being a dad to his two children. Joe is survived by his children Courtney Monahan and Thomas Monahan and his wife Leeann. Joe is also survived by his sisters Diane Zhitomirsky and her husband Victor, Susan Monahan, and Paula Coe and her husband Brian Coe. He is also survived by his grandson Joseph Monahan and many special nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Gregory Church, 2215 Dorchester Ave., Dorchester, MA, on Wednesday, February 15, at 10 am. Interment at Cedar Grove Cemetery.
