Jose DeBrito of Dorchester passed away on August 22, 2026. He was 87 years old.

Beloved uncle of Manuel “Manny” Coleta, Henriqueta Fontes, Ana Varela, Maria A. Alves, Antonio Alves, and Marci Coleta. Jose also leaves behind many extended family and close friends. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure to have known him.

Jose was a machine operator for Necco Candy Manufacturing Company for many years before retiring. He was an avid reader and enjoyed family and friends.

Family and friends invited to attend viewing on Friday August 28th from 9-10AM in St. Patrick Church, 400 Dudley Street, Roxbury. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10AM in St. Patrick Church.

Interment in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester.
