John G. Molloy, of Rhode Island, formerly of Dorchester, Milton & Quincy, passed away unexpectedly Sunday December 19, 2021 at 60 years old.

John was born on May 5, 1961 in Quincy, Massachusetts to the late John G. Molloy, Jr. and Julianne (Carroll) Molloy-Bithoney. John grew up on the South Shore and attended BC High. After high school he earned degrees from Stonehill College, Suffolk University and Massachusetts School of Law. John worked for over 25 years as an attorney practicing different areas of law. John was passionate about fitness and devoted many years of his life to exercise and bodybuilding.

In 2016 John reconnected and married Deborah Rose, moving to Rhode Island to be with her and her boys Tyler and Trevor. John was a loving stepfather and hockey dad to the boys. John was a very outgoing, happy and charismatic person. He was always full of life and would often enjoy long and engaging conversations with everyone he met.

John is survived by his beloved wife Deborah (Young) Rose and his loving step-sons Tyler & Trevor Rose. He was the dear brother of John J. Molloy of Norwell and uncle to Bryce, Connor & Jillian Molloy. Additionally, he is survived by many other relatives and friends of many years.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Gregory Church, 2215 Dorchester Ave., Dorchester, Thursday, December 23 at 11 AM. Please meet at the church. Visiting hours at Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington St., DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS, Wednesday 4 to 8 PM. Interment Blue Hill Cemetery. Masks are required at the funeral home and church.
