I worked with John for many years at the Department of Revenue. What I loved most about him was that he could always make you laugh and smile, and there was never a dull moment when he was around. Truly a great "one of a kind" guy. May he rest in peace in the Lord's kingdom.🙏

John and my recently deceased partner, Vernon, Dailey, were great friends, and fellow BC High graduates. We ran into John on Valentine's Day at Lower Mills Tavern and had the chance to have a chat, share a drink and have a nice meal. He was, as always, equipped with his newspapers and solving crossword puzzles. I'd like to think that Vernon and John are hanging together in heaven, sharing a drink and a laugh and working on the Globe and Herald puzzles Please let me know if there are any memorial services planned.

I was a classmate of Jack's at both St. Mary's of the Hills and BC High. He always had a big smile and a kind word. Rest In Peace Jack.

I have many fond memories of Jack from our time at BC High, where he was a year ahead of me, and the friendship that continued even after I moved away from Boston. I'll never forget his laugh, his ready smile, his irreverent sense of humor and satirical take on events. Even after we had fallen out of touch due to geographic distance and diverging paths through life, he was kind enough to show up at my father's funeral to pay his respects in 2004. I'm glad I'll always know Jack as a cheerful young man, a true son of Boston, and a good friend. (P.S. He drove my mother crazy, but that was just Jack being Jack.)

I will miss Jack. He was a kind presence and a good neighbor on the 4th floor of the Forbes building at Baker Square. He always had a warm hello for me and my German Shepherd Otto and routinely dropped my Sunday paper at my door. To his family sorry for your loss. May his memory be a blessing.
