Our dearest, Joana Claybon, passed away on August 5, 2022 after a long, full and loving life.

Born in Cape Verde on February 2, 1957, she moved to America in search for a better life for her, her husband and her children.

She had the biggest heart. She was such a wonderful person and a kind soul. She enjoyed spending time with her family, going out with her daughter, Paula, and randomly calling her children, making sure they were in good health, good spirits, and reassuring them that they are loved. She was a hard worker, always thinking of her family first. She did everything in her power to make sure that her children, her mother, her nieces, her siblings and her husband were happy.

She is predeceased by her mother, Albertina Teixeira, who recently passed on July 25, 2022, her Father, Cerilo Cecelia, and is survived by her husband, Manuel Brito, her daughter, Paula Brito, her son Eugenio Brito, and her youngest son, Edson Brito. She is loved and she will be missed.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Peter Church, 311 Bowdoin Street, Dorchester, MA on Wednesday August 17th at 10AM. Visiting Hours will be held at the Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington Street, DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS on Saturday August 13th from 5:30-8:30PM. Interment at New Calvary Cemetery.
