MEADE – Joan Marie (Inglis), age 76 of Milton formerly of Dorchester and Randolph, passed away on Friday, July 21, 2023.

Born and raised in the Neponset section of Dorchester to the late Edward Dale and Katherine Rita (Kilroy) Inglis along with her sisters, Jeanne Inglis of FL and the late Katherine Callahan of MA. She was a bookkeeper and accountant for a large commodity broker earlier in her career, and for a number of small businesses in the Dorchester and Quincy Area in the mid-point of her career, retiring from State Street Bank in Quincy in 2013. She was a graduate of St. Ann's School in Neponset, MA (now St. John Paul II Academy); Cathedral High School in Boston; and Boston Business School (which is now part of Roxbury Community College).

Joan was an avid cook, former member and band mom for St. Ann’s Band and Color Guard, Eucharistic minister, at St. Ann Parish - Neponset and St. Mary Parish - Randolph. As Joan would often say, she was “a blessed Mother, Grandmother and Aunt.”

Beloved mother of Daniel Meade and his wife Carolyn Sheedy of Arlington, VA and Ellen Taft and her husband Paul of Rockland. Dear sister of Jeanne Inglis of Florida, and the late Katherine Callahan. Proud grandmother of Kaitlin, Conor, Cameron, and Alexis. Loving aunt of many nieces, nephews, and godchildren. Former wife of Peter Meade of Florida, formerly of Boston/Dorchester.

Mass of Christian burial will be held Thursday, July 27th at Our Lady of the Visitation Parish, St. Elizabeth Church, 350 Reedsdale Rd., MILTON at 10:00 am. Interment in Pine Hill Cemetery, QUINCY. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, July 26th at the Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Ave., (EAST MILTON SQUARE) from 4:00 – 8:00 pm.
