Jo Ann Chaney-Young, age 80, of Boston, MA, was born October 16, 1943, in Sutherlin, Virginia, to the late Wilmer Chaney, Sr., and Janie Saunders-Chaney. The beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt passed away peacefully on May 16, 2024, surrounded by her family.

    I'll never forget my aunt Jo. How could one ever forget such a genuinely kind spirit. I'll especially miss our phone chats. I'm consoled by the fact that I got to speak with her this past March on my birthday. The world is worse off because Aunt Jo is no longer here. My condolences to my cousins Allen, Sondra and Michael. RIP, Aunt Joann.
