Obituary for Jeanne Burns Glynn

GLYNN – Jeanne (Jeannie, Neenie) Burns, of Milton and Florida, passed away peacefully on
Saturday, December 7, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Beloved wife of Dennis M. Glynn, of Milton and Florida, devoted mother of Darcy Glynn Maksou and adoring grandmother of Mason Maksou, both of Milton. Jeanne was born and raised in Newton, MA by her late parents Paul and Ella Butterfield Burns. She is also survived by her dear sister Judith “Judy” Downes, of Milton and by many caring nieces, nephews, extended family and friends and by “Sam”, her beloved little dog. She was predeceased by her dear brother, Paul Burns Jr.

For many years, Jeanne was an adored English teacher and advisor to the Drama Club at Milton
High School. Prior to her career as a dedicated teacher, Jeanne wore many hats serving at the New England Board of Higher Education as an Assistant Director, Director of the Children’s Happiness Foundation, Associate Director of the Advertising Club of Greater Boston and Graphics and Design Manager at the Metropolitan District Commission. She also served as an event planner and consultant to many other clients.

Visiting hours will be held Thursday, December 12, 2024 at the Dolan Funeral Home 460 Granite Ave., Milton, MA from 4:00 – 8:00 pm. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Jeanne may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168 ~ www.dana-farber.org.
