Obituary for Jean Robert Latouche

Jean Robert Latouche was born in Port au Prince, Haiti on September 27th, 1952 to the late Familia Latouche. He was raised by his mother, Familia, until he was 5 years old, then raised by his father, Gerald, in Lascahobas, Haiti. He returned to his mother when he was 12 years old. After a few years of schooling; he began his career as an assistant building houses at the age of 17. He grew up with his brother, Carlo Latouche Sr, until their mother passed in 1976. They lived together with the Pauyo Family in Martissaint until his brother, Carlo, moved to America in 1982. He continued his profession building homes and fathered his first child, Familia, in the year 1995. He was supported by his brother to move to the US in 2008 with his daughter. His second child, Robert, was born shortly after he came to America.

In America, Jean Robert worked at the Parkwell Nursing Home in Hyde Park, Ma.

Jean Robert is remembered for his love to dance to Haitian music, his love for Haitian food, spending time with his friends, and enjoying the game of dominoes. Jean Robert, Age 71, passed away on Tuesday, April 30th, 2024 at Faulkner Hospital in Boston, Ma. He is survived by his aunt Marie Prophilia Latouche, brother Carlo Latouche Sr, daughter Familia, son Robert, grandchildren Princeton & Alaina, his nieces and nephew and cousins.

Visitation will be held at the Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington Street, DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS on Saturday, May 11th from 2:30-3:30PM. Funeral Service to begin at 3:30PM. Interment Private.
