Jean Marie (Williams) Joy, 77, passed away surrounded by those closest to her on Sunday, October 12, 2025 in Boston, MA.

She was born in Kingston, Jamaica, and came to the United States in 1969.

She enjoyed gardening, fishing, caring for her home, and spending time with her family. She is a dedicated Christian woman who found strength and peace in her faith, in which she shared that light with those around her.

She is survived by her four loving children, who will forever carry her spirit in their hearts Michael Joy (fiancée, Valerie Whitney), John Joy (wife, Kimberly Joy), Susan Allen-Joy (husband, Frederick Allen), and Sean Joy (wife, Melissa Joy); and by her many cherished grand and great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense pride and joy. She is also survived by many extended family members and friends. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Raymond Eldridge Joy in 1988.

Her legacy of love, faith, and family devotion will continue to shine through those she so deeply treasured. She will be profoundly missed and forever remembered with love.

A celebration of life will be held at Grace Church of All Nations, 33 Elm Hill Avenue Dorchester on Monday, October 20th from 10-11AM. Funeral Service to begin at 11AM. Interment at Cedar Grove Cemetery.
