Father and natural philomath Jean Albert Lauture’s love of life didn’t come to an end with his death. Jean passed away on May, 7th 2022 at the age of 69 after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest.

Jean Lauture, the only son of Pettionne Lauture, was born on 11/15/1953 in Port-au-Prince Haiti, where he attended what we would call elementary school. He traveled to the US in 1969 and moved to Boston, MA where he attended Dorchester high school. He later met Nadege Charles, his former wife…they had three children Susie, Jean Phillip, and James Lauture. After High School, Jean attended a Respiratory Health program at MGH where he was also employed. Jean also worked at Hewlett Packard as a computer assembler.

Jean is survived by his two devoted children Susie Lauture Rivera, and Jean Phillip Lauture. He will be immensely missed by his loving grandchildren, Sequoia, Nadaija, Sejai, Takyus, Soleil, and Brooklyn aka his Brooky. Jean Albert Lauture is preceded in death by his mother Pettionne Lauture, his son James Lauture and numerous aunts and uncles.
